They are afraid of being canceled - That's why they try to paint it as a bad thing and apply it to ridiculous things. I actually adopted the term and idea and now whenever I see something or someone bad I only say "I/We need to cancel him/her/them"

The correct answer would be: YES I DO! ("Auf jeden") And turn his phrase against him.

@Sez B Cancelation itself is not good or bad it just a part of life. You begin things you end things. It depends on what you cancel if it is bad or not. The same is true for almost everything else you do. It depends on what you do if you are acting in good or bad faith. If you want to cancel racism, bigotery, inequality, dishonesty, poverty, corruption and so on what's so bad about it? In the meanwhile dignity, decency, honesty and integrity was "canceled" by Republicans and even some Democrats with barely anyone calling it out or even giving it a name. I take up your point to a degree that they want to ridicule it so people turn against it thinking we want to end the good things which need to stay. On the other hand have you not noticed that in the current environment denial is as good as admitting it for them because facts and evidence hardly counts for them anymore. Even the absence of evidence is counted for them as evidence. So the best way in my opinion is to take what they say and turn it against them and prove by your own actions what YOU actually want to cancel and why and that it's not a bad thing quite the contrary.
