An american EU? Maybe between Canada and Mexico, but not with US they will never be willing to give up any sovereignity. It would be a perversion of the EU-model, a "peaceful" takeover by the US. Actually the model the UK tried to implement but the EU not cooperated. I have a simple test for this: Ask any american if he/she would be willing to accept that some regulations (laws) are influenced if not even made by Mexicans, or Canadians for that matter. Because that would be the requirement to accept that you are just one voice in a chorus.

Argueably the US first needs 50 years of Democrat leadership before it's ready for that.

@James-yw1lj 21 mio dosis were coming from the EU to the UK (of 45 worlwide). And none have been delivered the other way around. Remind me please: How many vaccinations the UK currently has?

@James-yw1lj In other words 2/3 of the UK vaccination program is thanks to EU delivering vaccine.

@James-yw1lj Not only a financial "risk". UK is paying 8 times more than the EU for the same vaccine. Great job! But I will leave you here. I'm sick of talking with Brexiteers. When you wake up to reality again call me.

Interesting idea actually. Canada joining the EU. I mean a lose Free Trade Agreement is already there. It would be the next step or at least joining EFTA. But good luck explaining that to your neighbour who will be very mad at that. And the EU might actually have an issue because the EU standard is even higher than that of Canada and even much more higher than the US. That's why the EU and US never managed to find a basis for a Free Trade Agreement ... but who knows maybe Biden is a little more reasonable and would be willing to increases worker rights and consumer protection, food quality, envrionmental regulations and so on ... to EU minimum levels. This would pave the way for closer trade relations.
