NEVER allow anyone to talk you out of voting! You may think or even have been told you somehow punish politicians with that but that's not the case. It's even worse you allow someone else to vote for you. You give away the only real power you have in a democracy - making this little cross once in a while. Even if you don't like the candidate you voting for unless you are against ALL of his or her policies there is no reason not to vote him. And keep in mind you voting the party not the person. This one person you vote for is unable to make policies alone the party is important and their numbers. See it differently: If someone has 10 promisses for improvement, but you don't like 2 of them? Is that a reason to drop the other 8 as well? There is a saying: Never allow perfection to be the enemy of the good.
