  1. What America really needs is more flavors than just 2 parties. America needs a true multi-party system. I mean if you go to a fastfood restaurant you also not just choose between breakfast and dinner. But the system needs to be slightly changed to make this viable.

  4. @ You cannot avoid division appearing because there is no middleground between true and false. The division appears because people still believe falsehoods.

  5. I never saw politics just 1 dimensional with 2 sides. For me politics is a circle or even a sphere with Freedom and Democracy at the top and Control and Authorianism at the bottom. It allows much more nuanced views and it also shows that no matter if you move left or right eventually you end up in the same place at the bottom.

  6. Imagine a sheet of paper. Write Freedom/Democracy on top and Control/Authoritarian on the Bottom as well as left and right on left and right. Voilá you can give each flavor a new coordinate and place even if both are on the left or the right.

  8. We could change to a star-model with different aspects of society on the different "spikes" shaping a form in the middle. It may be more precise but also less usefull.
