  5. I think they are just not ready to admit to themselves they have been wrong about this guy and have been betrayed on a monumental scale. And as long as they are unwilling to admit being wrong as long they will support Trump.

  6. Trump was also encumbant in 2020 and the economy was still okay because Covid just started. It still not helped him win. I think encumbancy is overrated and economy number-wise may be good but the people not really feel it. And keep in mind elections are rigged in favor of Republicans due to gerrymandering and Electoral College. The Democrat candidate needs at least +8 points to win.
