Instead of stating arguments try asking clever questions instead. Make her think and allow her to come to her own conclusions. You can even put factual information into the question without them noticing. The only way to pull someone out of a cult is doubt. This is why all cult fight doubt as hell.

Ever heard about the "Sunk-Cost-Fallacy" the more you invested into something the more you are willing to invest more and do everything to ensure it's success. And people invested a lot into Trump. Not just elections and donations but also friendships, relationships, partnerships and even family over a decade. It will be very hard to let go and accept falling for the con.

I'm afraid not. This would mean admitting to have been conned. This is hard for everyone but especially for people who live in denial about Trump for 10 years.

We will apologize of course if we were wrong. Can you say the same?

America has had capitalism for 230 years and Trickle-Down-Economics for 45 years. How much longer do you want to pretend this works?
2
It was better than now ... but this was also before Covid so you cannot really compare those two. And I can remember even back then not everything was as good as you describe it. In fact America was directly before a recession caused by 2 years of Trump.

Like selling your car you need to go to work.

Don't forget to keep his behind out of prison which I think was his maingoal. And it was a super close one. If he had lost this time 4 court cases had him sentenced to prison ... or even worse.

I heard the same in 2019 before Brexit in the UK. Today almost everyone regrets doing it. And the smart guys who knew tried to warn people but were ridiculed and called fearmonger like you just did.

@ So that is a no. You will not apologize when you were wrong. Got it.
1
@ So that is still a no. That's disappointing. What is so hard for you on this? I just asking the same curtesy from you I offer you. Isn't that fair? P.S. If you forgot what this was about please read my first post again.

@ So you really think you can compare Pre- and Post-Covid with each other with any issues? The core problem is that only higher wages can offset times of high inflation long-term. And noone got raises according to inflation rate between 2019 and 2024 or did you get a raise by ~15-20%?
1
The numbers are really good even if you don't feel it. This is because your wage did not kept up with GDP and inflation. The other 6 G7 countries envy America for it's numbers. They have twice the inflation and half the growth.

Trump has the Whitehouse, The House, The Senate ... pretty hard claiming the Democrats blocked him somehow when he has all the power. Last time he needed to invent the "Deep State" to explain why nothing improved while having all the power. He will find a scapegoat again.
1
And this is why people don't believe the "good economy" talk. Because they effectivly get less products and services for the same money and feel paying more for everything including rent and mortgage rises. Consumer power is in the toilet and over short or long this pulls the economy down again.

If Trump had the numbers Biden now has the media would celebrate him an economic wunderkind. It can only get worse from here on.

Prolonged exposure to reality has this effect yes. And the longer and worse it is the harder media and politicans have it to talk it away. In fact the harder they try to lie about that the more doubt you get until the spell is broken. This is how cult-members get themselves out of cults ... by contradicting reality and observations and doubt. Reality always wins in the end because it makes you pay for going against it.

Except this is illegal. You cannot do that there is some kind of doctrine/law but I forgot the name of it. I heard about it just last week or so.

I'm begging progressives to make their own party. The Democrats will become the new republicans. Policy-wise they already are and they even starting to adopt former Republican party member like Cheyney. The GOP is unrecognizable by now there is only Maga left. And Maga will end with Trump.

I would be surprised if there is a plus because Trump also needed to subsidize American farming to offset for the lost income. I think 100 bn were needed for the farmers. I highly doubt the tariffs could pay for that.

BRICS? But BRICS's goal is to end American dominance and to end the US Dollar as the leading currency. Trump joining them would be like a surrender.
