Can you exchange the word belief with "opinion" here please. "Belief" has too many things attached. But what you describe here are Opinions and Freedom of Speech is sometimes refered as Freedom of Opinion. EDIT: And when you want to make me really happy, than you also explain what Facts are compared to Opinions and that both are not the same. And how you can lie about facts, but not really about opinions. And that there is only one version of the facts (we call it the Truth or Reality), but everyone of us can have a different opinion on those facts. And if you want to round this up you can mention that impartial media or unbiased media is media which is not mixing fact and opinion and optimally only give you the facts and leave opinion out of it.

@brakthalas Look the main reason why I don't like the word "belief" in this context is you should not belief something, you should know and you can. You cannot prove god, but you have factual political information ... and from there you make your opinion. Besides belief is unsuitable because belief can also be religious belief which has far too much additional things attached. The very wording already show how screwed up politics already is because people don't even know the basics. They believe what they like and don't believe what they don'T like. They think without check if it's true. A recipe for disaster because reality is not all sunshine and sometime you actually absolute not like reality. Still no reason to belief in something else instead just to ignore reality.

@brakthalas I don't confuse them but as I pointed out it can mean it. That's why I suggest to use a more precise term for this and to keep "believing" out of it no matter if you mean believing in religious terms or in matters of fact. And Opinion is neutral.

@brakthalas I knew you would stumble over this at some point. Precisly because you don't fully know the basics. Explain to me how can there be multiple versions of the Truth/Reality? There is only one real thing which happened. Unless you thinking in terms of multi-versum when in another universe something else happend.

@brakthalas Well. Someone liking something or not is an opinion and everyone has a right to have their own. I knew you would stumble over this. You don't realize the difference between facts and opinions. The fact would be that Person A likes blue. And another fact would be that Person B don't like blue. But those two statements are facts not opinions. And when I would lie I would say: Person A does not like blue although he does. You can only lie about facts not about opinions. But hey ... good example. Try again.
