Yes but people are tired of this dynamic so more and more people don't go to vote anymore.

@Lapantouflemagic0 The left does offer solutions but they are not given any airtime unlike the far-right so obviously, the far right gains support.

Thanks to first-past-the-post and the media... 🙄

Bro, you're kinda cute 😳

@Lapantouflemagic0 The 4th Republic was embroiled in the decolonization process. Belgium is divided mainly because of cultural differences rather than a political issue. Why do you focus on what doesn't work when Germany is doing fine with a proportional system?

Mélenchon isn't that crazy. I personally don't like him and many in his party but I would settle for him again to block Macron and Le Pen. One can only hope that the left gets its sh*t together and comes up with a single candidate.

Basically just rambling about Islam and immigrants. She's vapid but I'm pretty sure she would manage to make things worse.

@mck1513 At the very beginning, when the NSDAP was a minor party, it was somewhat socialist until Hitler hijacked the party. He pushed for anti-socialist policies and in doing so he atteavred a lot of support from wealthy industrialists. Once in power, the Nazis banned unions and put actual socialists, communists and Jews in camps. So no, they were just fascists and only used socialist rhetoric as a façade (just like Marine Le Pen does).

@yoann5934 No, the results are absolutely similar.

@chris7263 Third parties are basically powerless in France at a national level. If we currently have several parties battling for power, it's because the former two-party system (Socialist Party and The Republicans) collapsed and is getting replaced by this Macron vs Le Pen duel.

Sadly.
