  18.  @Hornet135  Also, I forgot that swimming pools in hotels are filled with magic water, hotels by the sea aren't a risk for erosion, they aren't built with sand taken from the seashore, cruise ships don't emit toxic gases and aren't currently destroying Venice's foundations, tourism doesn't turn living cities into huge Truman Show sets filled with Airbnbs that are emptied of their local inhabitants. Oh, I would love to live in your little American fantasy world where actions have no consequences. Definitely no child slavery, resource theft, pollution, coups against democratically elected government, it's all ✨MAGIC✨

  19. What about tourism? Planes are the backbone of tourism and it's polluting AF too. We need to scale back most of our industries and consumption, and yes that means less travelling far away.
