@OCTAVIANVS_AVGVSTVS_CAESAR Russian state media can destabilize neighboring countries. After seeing Transnistria and Russia's invasion of Ukraine and Crimea, Baltic countries are obviously scared of Putin using the local Russian population as a reason to invade or fuel separatism. If Russia respected the territorial integrity of its neighbors and didn't instrumentalize ethnic Russians, I'm sure they would be less seen as a threat and as fellow citizens. I personally would love to see Russia integrated into the European Union to make it a real counterweight to the US and China but sadly, it's not happening anytime soon.

@hueylongdong347 I do understand the opposition to Russification but at the same time, these Russians didn't choose to move to the Baltics and most of them are born in Latvia/Estonia. By being stateless and second-class citizens, they will resent Latvia/Estonia and their cultures/languages... Can't there be bilingual schools?

@juliusjanusonis4604 Do Baltic Russians want to learn the local language? I knew a Russo-Latvian guy in Paris and he wasn't very proud of his Russian heritage but spoke Latvian.
