@pillscottvt6628 I'd take a Bernist gulag over any soulless suburban hellhole.
25
Yeah no
6
@haywire8008 Capitalism is literally responsible for 8 million deaths of starvation in the world each year.
6
@Shockkings0714 Biden is much closer to his deathbed than Bernie. At least, Bernie isn't senile.
5
@technosaurus3805 Everywhere the minimum wage is raised, there is NO significant rise in prices or unemployment. On the contrary, it boosts consumption.
4
So sorry to hear this... You are right. Healthcare should be tied to the citizen, not the wage slave!
3
@Shockkings0714 Latinos are mostly conservative. They tended to be Republicans before the GOP started scapegoating them back in the 1990s.
3
@philjustphil6444 And no one is fighting nowadays, just complying and thinking that voting is fighting.
3
$15 raise nationally and a $20 minimum wage in the richest states.
3
How? It will stimulate the economy and people will buy more with their money - this is something we definitely need after the pandemic and the economic downturn. Minimum wage raises have been done in many other countries and it never increased unemployment rates.
3
No, it will stimulate consumers to buy more. Time and time again, minimum wage raises never really impacted unemployment.
3
They literally would have let them be murdered earlier this month. WE DON'T NEED THEIR VOICES.
2
As Jesus said: let workers starve
2
Like all Western countries do, through taxes? You guys have the most billionaires in the world but can't pay your citizens a college degree or basic medecine. You are really a third world country wearing a Gucci belt. By the way, no that many people go to the US to get treated but 1 and a half million Americans seek health care abroad. Imagine, a plane ticket, a hotel room and a foreign hospital cost less than American health care.
2
Huh? Once you give power to corporations over something, they don't give it back either. And they make you pay more for lower quality. As for who is going to pay: the billionaires and the corporations. We are also at a turning point in history with automation and robots. There are tons of ways to finance programs for the people, the vast majority of developed countries can. Why not the richest country on Earth and in history? Because you prefer to be enslaved to corporations
2
There are already almost no manufacturing jobs in the US. And almost everything you describe actually never materialized in countries where the minimum wage was increased.
2
Oh no, white journalists discover real life ❤️
2
@databang And corporations shouldn't decide the value of a human life. We have little time on Earth, an hour of our lives isn't worth only $7.25.
2
@rogerdodger8415 Good thing I support nuclear power production and energy consumption reduction.
2
If you have a business that doesn't allow you to pay your workers enough it's a bad business.
2
@cmack17 Towards Dem-leaning people to remind them the job isn't over. We need to keep the pressure on Biden to actually pass his promises.
2
It's quite sad that making war abroad, bailing out banks, tax cuts for billionaires, Super PACs deciding the election are not considered radical but caring for your own citizenry is.
2
@PixelGunZodiac "I mean, yes there's a huge wealth gap, a few billionaires control the media, corporations own the government that bails out the banks everytime they go badshit crazy while the vast majority of people have no influence on politics, but at least we are not an oligarchy, right? ... guys?"
2
We need to stop going after our allies and leaders. Bernie can't do itall by himself. Remember his motto "Not me, us". It is our collective duty to push for better and more extensive policies! He energizes the crowds and the people, this is more than enough for one person only.
2
Bring back the guillotine 💪🏼
2
@aero3318 Being poor and sick is the absolute contrary to liberty. Sociopathic tendencies should absolutely be shunned upon and I have no regret in shaming crazy "libertarians".
2
No, we don't see that increase because wages are just a tiny fraction of the cost of products.
2
If you can't hire people and pay them a living wage, YOUR BUSINESS MODEL IS SHITTY.
2
Tax the rich, force corporations to lower their prices, automation... There are thousands of ways to finance these programs but you don't want to hear about them because you like being enslaved to corporations.
2
No, they aren't radical.
2
Free college = no out of your pocket expenses.
1
The government isn't just the president. At least with a Democrat in the White House, Bernie got the Senate Budget Committee.
1
Oh shut up you bot.
1
No. He will be remembered as a pretty inconsequential footnote in history. A man who sold us lies and told us to comply when the time called for riots, disobedience and revolution.
1
@t6amygdala No, "ancaps" are not anarchists and never will. No Gods, no masters. Acting like the tyranny of the economy and corporations doesn't exist is being a shill for them.
1
Not just the DNC but the media and the fact that so many Americans still believe in Red Scare tactics.
1
@friedrichwilhelmviktoralbe349 What democracy to begin with? You're forced to vote for a corrupt racist oligarch either way 😂
1
@Don.G.Prince There's already an establishment dictatorship right now. People don't have the power.
1
Yep. World war, genocide, record oil production...
1
@Raidersfan-gn7zo Dems are bought by billionaires and AIPAC. Look up who's funding them. America doesn't have any real opposition party.
1
🤮
1
@obergfamily9049 Sadly, this is not the majority opinion in the US.
1
Republicans literally fucked the country for the last 40 years with actual radical and stupid policies. But now someone wants to support common people and it's the end of the world.
1
How? LMAO
1
The minimum wage needs to be tied to inflation.
1
"My white supremacist corrupt oligarch is better than your white supremacist corrupt oligarch" - US elections since basically the dawn of time.
1
So billionaires doubling their wealth is okay but working people getting paid enough to live isn't?
1
TheMan WhoLaughs Good. Next?
1
@hungryburger8726 Sadly no, he's a "libertarian".
1
And never Biden either but since Dems love to lose, they sent him anyway 🤷♂️
1
@false361 It's been 4 years and there are tons of evidence of rigging and behind-the-scenes agreements between the DNC and Clinton's campaign. Donna Brazile, the Wikileaks campaign emails leak etc. The DNC is a mess.
1
@Suny-Halo Both parties are absurdly corrupt. Republicans don't even care about ethics. Same with corporate Dems.
1
@someedgyaccount3589 I mean, the GOP is not corrupt, they are the ones corrupting the country.
1
@alexsloan4976 Bernie lost the popular vote back in 2016 but the DNC and the media were going hard against him. Even if he lost the primaries, he has won the battle of ideas.
1
@t6amygdala You are so naive. I hope you are not older than 8 because this would be a tragedy.
1
Because conservative media keep telling them that communists, antifas, Black people, transgender people, gays and lesbians are out there to eat them.
1
Do people not understand that it's been done time and time again in different countries and the price boom never happened because people consumed more?
1
I'm okay with Bernie not being in the White House. He would have attracted so much (undeserved) hatred and would have been halted from Democrats, Republicans and the corporate media. He may have lost the nomination but we won the battle of ideas. We have at least 2 years of Democratic control of the Congress to push it further left.
1
@late8641 Yeah, I was on the "Biden Bad" train but I have to agree that it's so much more relaxing to not have the Angry Orange shouting nonsense on a daily basis.
1
Journalists are not common people, they literally are the ones spouting billionaires' propaganda.
1
No. Use these divides and further our goals.
1
Brother, have some faith in your country 🙄
1
We should never forget this.
1
FDR basically said the same thing but there wasn't Fox News back then so nobody screamed "oh the horror, he wants to help the people".
1
Wages are just one among many other costs to run a business, it won't change prices that much. On the other hand, bigger wages = more consumption.
1
@t6amygdala God bless your soul when you will be an old fart that nobody likes 🙏
1
@t6amygdala Individuals are quite stupid but as the saying goes "apes together strong". As a species, we are known to have collective intelligence.
1
@t6amygdala "To protect the NAP". No one agrees on what constitutes an aggression - that's why we have laws to determine it.
1
@aero3318 I find the egotistical view quite exhausting. We as a species have thrived because we care for each other and never leave an injured fellow monke on the side of the road. Those who praise individualism as a religion should be ashamed and realize how dangerous and hypocritical their beliefs are. Remember Ayn Rand and her reliance on the social security she abhorred?
1
@shinkshonkers3787 I LIKE MY PREMIUMS THAT DON'T REFUND ANYTHING!!! DON'T LET COMMUNISTS NEAR MY PRIVATE INSURANCE!!! BETTER DEAD THAN RED!!!
1
You can have a minimum wage and have a "competitive pay structure". Minimum wage doesn't mean everyone gets paid the same but that work should be rewarded with a living wage. You can't steal people's time that we have in limited capacity on Earth and pay them cents.
1
LMAO delusional, even the Democratic establishment isn't scare of you.
1
Yeah that's why he left the Paris Agreement and removed environmental regulations?
1
Huh? He has one in his home state of Vermont, one in Washington DC where he works and a vacation house. You want him to live in a tent or something?
1
Yet it's capitalism that is pushing us towards extinction. Good job team!
1
We must appease the algorithmic overlords 🙇♀️🙇♂️
1
😍
1
@omarelb.3996 Not to be mean, but you should have phased out coal and gas BEFORE nuclear power 🙄
1
They are literally pushing us towards a global collapse and extinction.
1
@t6amygdala *the craziest "ideas" You guys are a joke.
1
@t6amygdala The response? No the continuation. Being a wage slave isn't that much glorious than being a serf.
1
We haven't lost! With a neoliberal, we have more power to speak up whereas under Trump, we have no influence in the opposition! We need to keep fighting. "Not me, us".
1
Universal healthcare exists almost everywhere except in the US. It's not socialist or extremist 😑
1
That means 49 states out of 50 have a lower population than Canada. You can implement it at a state level. You literally have no excuses 🙄
