@whysocurious7366 Who uses these fossil fuels? Y'all act like these corporations don't provide products to Westerners/global North. He's right to point out that we should be the ones to do most of the sacrifices and it's literally what the video says.

@terrystevens3998 That was true years ago but now, most of Chinese pollution and emissions come from national consumption, not exports. Also, factories in China are owned by the Chinese not foreigners.

The more we wait, the more extreme and least acceptable to the public the required change will be. IMO, we're definitely fucked and that's why I'm impressed by people who still try to push for change. Like I want their hope.

The IPCC report he talks about was released last month, not a few months ago. That means you either never even heard of it or that your time perception is messed up (like mine).

Fossil fuels and slavery did create and build our modern world. It doesn't mean we didn't or can't change our ways but it's true. And the American lifestyle is absolutely tied to the overconsumption of fossil fuels so to curb climate change and carbon emissions, it also needs to be challenged. I don't see any of these statements as controversial or false. I might have missed something though. As for eco-fascism, is it really a fundamental component of mainstream far-right politics in Europe? Environmentalism for them is limited to greenwashing and doesn't have any real impact on their platforms. I think they still ally with the right to sabotage any environmental real policy.
