Do you hold the same view about Italian immigrants who speak Italian with their fellow expats, their children? English expats? Spaniards? The Portuguese? Probably not. These languages are part of their identity and they don't deny their Frenchness. Personally, I'm very sad of not being able to retain my mother tongue (Hindi) because of the same views than you hold.
