@Rationa_l Southern Asia is India, Pakistan Bangladesh etc. Not just India. I looked it up and she was in Bangladesh.

@chimco Relaxing on the beach is not a universal thing 🤦‍♂️ It wasn't even popular one century ago in the West. For them, it's like she's acting like a stranded whale.

@michelle5568 "iT'S a BeAcH" Okay, they go sunbath on the beach near Fukushima. Tourism and sunbathing are not normal things in Bangladesh just like it wasn't for most of history. Westerners are the odd ones relatively speaking.

@jdk9673 People there are probably not used to see people sunbathing. Bangladesh is not very touristic and this beach doesn't look very clean. It's like laying down in the middle of the road, that would have been puzzling for them.

@laustinspeiss It says that people there are not accustomed to seeing people with yellow hair, white people do it sometimes with people with curly Afros. Sure, it's insensitive but it's curiosity more than something weird.

@cliffmathew Was it a touristic beach though? People are not used to sunbathing and staying at the beach for fun. In the West, this activity is only a century old at most. So, seeing foreigners laying on the sand doing nothing would be quite weird for them.
