I remember this day/event explicitly since I was at my extended family reunion in northern Norway and suddenly some F16s flew much below their normal flight height with engines at max (or close to it). It was so unreal been at camping site in the summer at a sunny day and knowing that a sub (Kursk) had sunk to the bottom and rumor had it that the sub had collided with something and further speculated that Putin did not want the truth came out as to why Norway offered to send a specialized recovery vessel but Putin declined. I just hope that Russians realize that we (in the West) isn't the problem but Putin is. Putin have NO respect for Russians, even his military. That mad man must be stopped!
