  1. I have to disagree when it comes to Greenland, it should be considered a part of America due to its location. Also further more Europe is in no military position to defend Greenland against China (I'm not too worry about Russia since Putin has crippled Russia on the economical front). From an USA perspective I think Greenland is needed to give a protection on the northern east flank + polar region. If China starts mass producing nuclear subs and have them patrolling northern Greenland then USA would have much less time to react if things starts flying if you get my drift, so if THAAD like systems are placed on strategic positions on Greenland and USA has territorial control to have its own naval fleet north of Greenland would push back further expansion from China. This has nothing to do with Trump at all.
