  3. Hergbert, my apologies again : I still haven't addressed your contention. "Why a back channel ?" Well you are quite right other politicians have done it. Nixon, prior to his being elected POTUS sent Kissinger out to scupper the Vietnam/Paris peace talks. What he did was illegal. It is actually illegal to set up a back channel before you become POTUS. And what the Trumps were doing was MUCH worse : they wanted the FSB to set it up so it couldn't be monitored by US intelligence . That is treason.
