@gigabyte2573 I'm an OAP and have two older cars and the tax rises are in line with inflation so nothing scary. The Tories frose the basic rate of tax at £12,570 and due to the significant rises in pensions this brings me / us into the tax which is negligible BUT TORIES BROUGHT 4.4 MILLION LOW PAY INTO TAX. LABOUR HAS INCREASED THE MINIMUM WAGE, THEY HAVE PROTECTED WORKERS FROM ZERO HOUR CONTRACTS AND FIRE AND HIRE CONTRACTS. THE WORKERS RIGHTS BILL INCREASES THESE PROTECTIONS. WORKERS WHO RENT THEIR HOMES ARE AT LAST PROTECTED BY LABOURS RENTAL BILL. LABOUR IS COUNTRY FIRST AND THE CHILD PROTECTION ACT SHOWS ACTION ACROSS THE BOARD. PS: REFORM VOTED AGAINST THE CHILD PROTECTION BILL AND THE WORKERS PROTECTION BILL. FARAGE THE FASCIST ARE NOT FOR THE WORKERS OR PATRIOTIC. MIGRANT RAIDS Illegal migrant blitz on car washes and nail bars sees nearly 4,000 arrests in just seven months The firms hiring them face fines of up to £60,000 per worker. BORDER staff have nicked nearly 4,000 migrants working illegally in the UK in just seven months. More than 5,400 businesses have been raided including nail bars, car washes and takeaways. Many of the 3,930 nabbed were small-boat migrants or had overstayed visas. Often they worked cash in hand and in squalid conditions. The firms hiring them face fines of up to £60,000 per worker — and 1,090 civil penalty notices have been issued since last July. Home secretary Yvette Cooper blasted the rogue bosses and said employers had been able to exploit illegal migrants with impunity for too long.
