@Wesker92ify decent people don't squat, druggies and generally hobos do and absolutely ruin abandoned homes. There is no utilities turned on, so they just crap everywhere. Ive seen it first hand on my grandma's street. We were always fearful of the druggies stalking up and down the street looking for things to steal. If they knew she had meds, they would have broken in to her home...

@RichardsNickname They are actually changing it to be even more strict. You can now immediately file for a court order to remove the person and have them prove they own the home, legally, not in a squatter way. The home owner can say they have the deed and pay the utilities and taxes, and boom squatter is gone without months of time allotted for them to move(when they never do anyways lol)

It's because that's the programming at college. "you will own nothing and be happy about it". If she were an adult with a husband, children, and a home + land they saved for a decade to *own*. Yeah she would not be saying all of this bleeding heard nonsense lol...
