I like the Scandinavian approach, which allows teens to be sexually active with someone their own age (close-in-age clause). Curiosity and exploration is natural at that age, and should be allowed, the issue is when it becomes an unequal power dynamic.

@lsamoa Amazing! To just straight out lie with an utterly false claim like that... You, (if indeed you are even 'Scandi') do not have anywhere near the highest abortion rates in world. And you have, thanks to advanced sexuality awareness classes, one of the lowest teen pregnancy rates in the world.

They should change the name of the bird. Afterall, the bird got its name from the country. Europeans mistakenly called it that because it was a popular product of Turkish merchants, (which is something this report should have highlighted). We should call it Pavo, which is what the Mexicans call it (where it was first domesticated).

Yes, he nailed it.

I agree with the guy saying that it is a phase in the empowerment movement. I was in Australia when it went through this. I had female friends from uni who refused to even socialise with any men. I can sympathise with their frustration and anger, and I suspect it has to get to this point before the need to change is taken seriously, but society will come through it. But the men saying that they are being oppressed now, only feel that because they still don't understand how patriarchy favours them. The report really should have interviewed some members of the rad fem group tho.

@julianasilva6946 Gotta love it when people are so sure THEY are right, they feel the need to use demeaning language against someone they disagree with...

Did not know that!

Yes, I was wondering how much of this was peer pressure.

Seriously, some issues DON'T need to two-sided. Their ignorance doesn't need to be platformed. This is where liberals always fail.

I don't understand the concept of 'believing' in a celebrity inage? Is this a poor translation or just a culture disconnect?

I strongly support trans men and women rights... I feel like it's the next cultural hurdle, which the new generation will let go of easily. I do have concerns with this though, I can understand why some of the other competiors might feel it is unfair. I realise she now has a low testosterone rate, but she she still had years growing up with high levels that would have definately built up muscle mass abd there is still the muscle memory. It's a hard situation, I want her to be able to compete, so this is probably the best option, but it's still going to be tough to take for her competitors.

Liked the angry intro...

@MC-ko2mx I understand how the fame machine works... I just don't understand people 'believing' in a celebrity.

The name change at marriage in the west is because traditionally it meant she became the husbands possession. It is weird that we continue with these awful traditions. I don't understand why they persist.
