  11. So I actually did this to The Sentimental Bloke (Centennial Edition). I took out the N-word where it was used, because it was actually limiting how much the work was explored in schools, (I was a teacher). But I mainly did it to update the slang, as much of it is lost now so it was difficult to follow. It's not really censorship because if you do want to read the original they are still there.

  19. On the contrary, I think it helps him, it personifies him. And being likable is key to winning elections in the US. Plus, these are Australians, and they don't use honourific terms like that. This is made primarily for (and paid for by) an Australian audience.

I didn't agree with the last guy saying that the two sides now can't and won't talk. The reasonable side, the ones who know the election wasn't stolen, are always prepared to talk.

  38. It was great to give the women time to talk about their experiences. And Saba's point about acting against the regime is true It contrasts to the centrists on the panel just talking about what's happening in Iran as 'terrible' etc which is so lame... But really, it's fantastic that there is an uprising. More power to them, they are being very brave. But sanctions are not the obvious answer, as it can just hurt the people more.
