Yeah. The estimator did mot allow enough time for all the additional work items, like dual covers, inserting signature pages, bookmarks, and the page edge decoration.

I was thrilled to see Max Popenker working on a book for Ian's Headstamp Publishing! Though I hope it is far enough in the future to not have to compete with the Vickers Guide to the AK.

Xiao Mi ,thank you for your comment. The Vickers Guide books are indeed most closely related to "coffee table books". Lots of pictures, good but condensed information. Max Popenker would cover more information and more of the side developments that came about with the AK system. I look forward to Max's work.

There are two books already in the planning stages. British bullpups, and AK series by Max Popenker ( both from Headstamp Publishing, without Ian writing ). Ian has given much thought to writing about Japanese rifles for his own next book.

I'm not certain, but I don't think Ian printed that many extra copies. Good idea though, a couple extra books for the largest firearms museums would be nice.

Red, Yellow , Blue, those are primary colors. Green is a secondary color, mix of yellow and blue.

I understand that printing uses the CMYK color separation process. Those in colors are still equal in most ways to the traditional the additive process used by artists using the Red, Yellow, Blue color wheel. Red, Yellow, Blue are "primary colors" because they can not be reduced to any other color, but as I said Green is a secondary color as it is a combination of yellow and blue. I am speaking solely on color for making a print in a physical format, not electronic media's use of RGB.

The printer would usually keep any books that fail quality control.

I don't think Purdue University is all that fancy, lol. (: But you have a point, I was also taught primary colors in art classes.
