@Grainofsand439 He had due process. He has no need to return to the US for yet another deportation.

@marjbarnes131 Spot on! It's such a pleasure to see so many people here who took the time to read the SCOTUS ruling and understand it. Maybe these so-called media outlets should look to the intelligent people in their comments sections for their next round of fact-checking hires!

They didn't rule that he "had to be released" at all! They ruled that the US should in no way interfere if El Salvador chooses to release him, and that they should allow him back into the US if he wants to be deported to another, third, location.

@wildbill9681 The SCOTUS said facilitate, which means they should not "block" Garcia from returning to face deportation again to a country that is not El Salvador. The SCOTUS did NOT say that the Executive has to make it happen.
7
@ Have you read the court documents? He is a citizen of El Salvador. Two separate courts in the US confirmed his deportation order. So yes, the Trump administration had 100% authority under the law to deport this guy.

@wildbill9681 The SCOTUS ruled that the US should not interfere if El Salvador decides to release Garcia from prison in El Salvador. The ruling does not require his return to the US.
4
@ If he was not sent to El Salvador he would have been sent somewhere else! He has a deportation order!
3
@ He has had his due process. He was deported and if he comes back to the US he will get the due process of deportation to a different location.
3
In El Salvador, yes.

Will what happen?

@wildbill9681 The SCOTUS denied the "Effectuate" piece in their ruling. Try to keep up. The US just needs to not impede the release of Garcia should El Salvador should to release him.

@nashton9964 He is a criminal alien and is a designated member of a terrorist organization. That's two for starters! He has a deportation order, so were he to re-enter the US, he will then be detained and deported to another nation that is not El Salvador. President Trump is probably making a deal with Nicaragua on this as we speak.

Not at all. There is no failure here. They deported an El Salvadorian terrorist with a deportation order back to El Salvador.
1
@ Garcia was not a legal resident or a citizen. He was a CRIMINAL ALIEN with a DEPORTATION ORDER.
1
@deiansalazar140 He is not a citizen, he's a criminal alien with a deportation order who got deported back to his home country.
1
@truthmatters8241 Agreed.
1
The guy is a criminal alien. That means he cannot stay in the US. Period. The guy is also a member of MS13 which is now a designated terrorist organization, which means he must be deported. Period. The guy has a deportation order that requires he be deported. Period.

@claymenefee6999 The court documents are public.
1
@claymenefee6999 There are a number of lawyers on yt, including at least one is a member of SCOTUS Bar, who have done detailed walk throughs of ALL of the court documents in this case, to ensure that people have clarity about the fundamentals of the issues.

@ You are so desperate and sad in your coping and seething. Garcia received due process when not one court, but TWO dound that he was a criminal alien AND a member of MS13 and issued a deportation order which has now been implemented.
1
Yes he will. I hope President Trump is making a deal for Nicaragua to run a similar prison to CECOT, so Garcia can be sent there.
