@jshricks No, it's not the same story for every generation. I'm in my 60s and it was NOT that was for us.

@JohnJ469 Yes, I lived that. But I also lived with opportunities arising at times, and being a person in my 20s who could get a loan for a house within a half hour drive of my work while I was still in my 20s and earning no more than average for my age. Bearing in mind the mortgage interest rates reached 18% pa at that time!
