@JaviusSama na what screwed him, was the fact that he shot someone dead. And being that lots of people who know him/have worked with him, think hes dogshxt, along with a lot of the public, theres not much sympathy for him. Probably a hell of a lot to do with his political statements (maybe a good example of why ones personal politics should be KEPT personal. Like they used to be!) All his own doing. It might be accidental, obviously it was, but there were failures that cost a life, and average everyday people have been sent to prison for far far less! Some of them even innocent. He deserves punishment and it shouldn't be lenient because of his fame fortune or politics

@abowden5079 if you point a weapon at someone, whatever the reason, and that weapon goes off, or you think its empty and intentionally pull the trigger fkin around, are you responsible when that someone dies? If not, who is, and why is Alec Baldwin exempt from the same rules?

@doriandundee9906 he was producer, which demands a certain amount of responsibility. It is also REQUIRED of an actor to check that the gun is not loaded. Or anyone for that matter. If you or I were holding a gun and it went off and killed someone, who exactly would be blamed?! The person you got the gun off? No, it would be who ever is holding the weapon! Baldwins case is not the first of this kind. Accidental deaths happen. And somebody is usually punished for it. Why are you making excuses for Baldwin? Lol

@dunxy sorry bud but unless you WANT to shoot somebody you don't point the weapon at them. Your point is irrelevant since he was rehearsing a scene and waving the gun about in a dangerous fashion (obviously). Now let's use your logic that as an actor, he was supposed to be pointing at someone. If he hadnt checked the gun as required, the only difference here is that somebody different would be dead. So what is your point? It is always negligent to not check a weapon you are handed! Especially on a film set where regulations are supposed to be stringent (many crew members around, famous and valuable 🤭actors, equipment etc.) Its not much to ask.

@Sudokas simply checking that there were NO rounds at all would have been sufficient. Dummy or otherwise. That's all he had to do. Even blanks can cause injury so if he had checked it, and it had blanks he STILL shouldn't have been pointing it. But he didn't. Just dont ever point a gun at anyone unless you want to shoot them. Filming a scene is different obviously, but stringent rules apply. But he wasn't filming.

@diannebdee Michael Masse didn't fire a bullet though, so I'd check that up first if I were you.

@christianc.christian5025 you sound like a cry baby . You even said in another response to someone that if they handed you, the gun same situation, and you shot someone, it's their fault! Lol. Grow up. Political axe my ass. But speaking of such, where did you stand on the rittenhouse saga
