  1. I imagine the reason why people are so comfortable shitting on historical figures is because they weren't fking there! They live comfortable lives because of people like Haigh, and have no understanding of what was required of men in that era. Only a fool would look back over history and use today's standards to judge the people who effectively laid the foundation for the pampered lifestyle they have today.
