So much here that is straw man, supposition and plain wrong. He didnt say all slaves had a jolly old time based off a few opinions taken AFTER slavery (so nobody was forcing them to say anything) What I especially love is your insistence on repeating "white Christian". Christianity reached Africa before it even reached Europe. Many slaves taken to America were already muslims or were aware of christianity. Many WANTED to know about the bible and have its teachings read to them. As their own religious ideas hadn't helped them and were of little use in their new world. They found comfort in its teachings and realised it would be to their benefit to "join them if you can't beat them". I'm not religious, so I'm not defending christianity. Or religion at all. But you see things through shit tinted glasses, because inside you're angry at people who have done nothing, and all tore up about stuff that didn't happen to you. Historically, people were absolute shitts to each other, regardless of colour. Nobody but a very select few had a very good time of it! And they weren't all white! But I ain't gonna argue with complete strangers about what their ancestors might have done to mine!
