  2. Agreed. I've seen plenty of practitioners of different disciplines fail completely when their chance ro shine came! Because an uncontrolled situation is different. Besides real potential for serious injury, its also unpredictable, compared to the dojo or whatever. That easily turns into fear, and the fight or flight thing often unnerves them enough to go to pieces. Even those that might click into action and use any training, its usually punches or wrestling to the ground for choke holds that are effective. IMO strength overcomes much of it. And dirty fighting if needed!

  3. That's the schtick. It's quite common to pronounce "th" as "f" in England. Its wrong and we should know better, but its often just laziness!
