  14. Avoiding "racial tensions" is not a sufficient reason I'm afraid. Why are they considering that? If a crime occurs, its not their job to even consider race. Because that's illegal. If there is an issue within certain communities, then it should be addressed and remedied, not hidden away for fear of giving CRIMINALS a negative image. Prosecute and convict the crime regardless of race. Its not difficult. And that's the priority. There are plenty of white British people who commit crimes, but we don't assume they make ALL white British people look bad and therefore cover it up.   23. I was a hyperactive child with attention deficit. Probably before it was even a legit diagnosis with a name. But pretty much those exact words were used to explain my behaviour to my mother. But I wasn't coddled or given medication to stop me being me! I had an over active imagination and boundless energy and it did me no harm! When mum told me to behave I did, and it wasn't used as an excuse to misbehave or to let me get away with stuff the other kids couldn't. I turned out just fine. There is a financial incentive to label these kids as different in some way and medicate them. The diagnosis of kids who are just being kids, as somehow being the result of some disorder, allows for bad behaviour and underachievement to be excused IMO.
