  3. Zelensky doesn't want it to end. All genuine attempts to avoid the war were made by Putin, but Zelensky was emboldened by America and NATO and tempted with billions to stoke the flames. Putin has repeatedly offered peace talks since and "the good guys" have snubbed him. Thus prolonging the death and war. As recently as this summer, Putin once again tried to reach out but the west ignored him and their rather foolish and pathetic excuse was basically "na! We're the good guys and we don't want to even discuss peace... because they're the bad guys" Ukraine will not win and there was never any hope of doing so. The only way this ends is if Putin finally loses patience and totally annihilates Ukraine, or Zelensky is forced to stop playing soldiers by refusing funding. And Trump will ensure it happens as quickly and humanely as possible.

Zelensky wants to hear "don't worry, this meeting is about giving you money, or America getting involved to save your ass and there is nothing else to discuss" As soon as Trump started talking about how to end the war, Zelensky realized there WAS actually more to the discussion! He doesn't want peace, he wants money. And victory if at all possible but mainly the money!
