  1. This is ridiculous. They were on a month to month basis. If the new owner wanted to jack up the rent and find new tenants why shouldn’t they have been able to? How is this ‘wrong’, exactly. This woman and her family were in a tough spot, sure, but that is a risk that comes w renting. Instead of disrespecting property rights we should probably do more to deal w the housing issues. Endless immigration certainly isn’t helping.

  2.  @lizliz4186  They were on a month to month basis, so they weren’t out $33K. Who pays in advance on a month to month basis, let alone $33K worth? I never said they shouldn’t get what they paid for; only that the new owner should get what they paid for, which is a house for them to do with as they please.
