@flowerfaeri No, it does not apply in wildlife areas. They are called wildlife areas for a reason. They are wild. If the bears can run around, so can my dog. Get a grip.

@TPhoenixt I cannot make much sense of it, but I understand why you felt the need to write it that way. The sensor jip is off the charts now.

I have contempt for leash laws and the nazis who insist upon them.

@absolutelypro4612 What problem?

@flowerfaeri I’m not the one who is entitled. The dogs are. And the law has been wrong before, no? Dogs need to be free to move around, just like us and most any other animal. Stop acting so inhumane and afraid.

@SkyGemini-od4sb Why? Dogs love me.

@TheRollinRocker All animals are instinctual animals. Ppl can behave the same way. I know some ppl whose kids act out. I guess we should leash all the kids at all times, and only let them off leash in small fenced in areas full of crap.

@TheRollinRocker Yes, because they need to move around like we do. Should we treat them the same? No. Should we act like dogs don’t have animal needs just because they aren’t human? No. And dogs do have the capacity for reason, albeit not like we do. Many animals can. The comparison was meant to be lunacy because the idea that dogs shouldn’t get to run free is lunacy.

@TheRollinRocker These are all feelings based positions. You feel like heavily restricting your dog’s ability to move and play to a highly limited set of enclosed and restrictive spaces is humane. I don’t, and I don’t feel like off leash dogs are the menace others seem to. Oh well. I just take the ‘raise your dog well enough that it doesn’t maul kids’ approach. It has been very easy and very effective.

@TheRollinRocker I also follow the law. I just don’t agree w it. My dog shouldn’t be literally leashed in a park because a small minority of ppl had bad experiences. If we ran everything like you ppl want to restrict/regulate dogs we wouldn’t even be allowed to have a beer without a license from the government. And not everybody has access to 18 acres. Some ppl and their dog(s) just have the nearby park.

@oleetu We leave a lot of things up to ppl’s judgement. It is one of those things you usually do in a society that likes to call itself free. The problem here isn’t even the laws. It is how everybody is frothing at the mouth for the dog’s owner to face the full wrath of the law despite knowing next to nothing about what unfolded. You’d think this woman just personally murdered somebody and fled the scene with the way ppl are reacting. How many of these dog nazis do you think make it through an entire month without some kind of comparably minor infraction?
1
@TheRollinRocker Except the ‘wild’ land law which somebody above said exists. I don’t follow that one. When I think wild I think crown land, and I’m not leashing my dog on crown land, assuming that is what they meant.
