Right there with you. Currently teaching myself online and learning more in one week than I ever did in a 4 month semester at uni, and it hardly costs anything in comparison. Post secondary is just a racket for the majority of those attending.

They will pay more for credentials that are worth less and less.

Its_Wheels If that were true student debt wouldn’t be the curse that it is for so many. Why are so many degree holders doing the same sorts of jobs that they otherwise would have been doing w/o the credentials?

Jonathan GREATCANADADIANCCPCRUSHER If that were still in case in most instances we wouldn’t be a millennial nation of over educated baristas. Some programs are worthwhile, but we need to stop pretending that all educations are equal, especially when we are sticking the taxpayer with half of the bill only for graduates to still struggle to find work that covers the cost of servicing the debt taken on for the other half.

Carl Sounds pretty typical for post secondary. At the tech institute I studied at they gave us a Russian guy, who could neither speak or write well in English, to teach us micro programming. All he did was throw line upon line of code up on the overhead and then complain when ppl told him they had no clue what was happening. The next year we were literally learning the second component of the material from a guy who had no experience in it beyond sitting in on the same classes as us the year before. Just a joke.
