  2. Watching You Canada is in trouble. I’d agree that it leans left, but you’re assuming that ppl are universally voting according to ideology vs being bought. My highly conservative buddy voted NDP recently cuz he’s a teacher. There’s a difference between voting for your ‘beliefs’ and voting according to self interest. In reality this is a highly polarized country now and polarization is not conducive to a healthy democracy. It’s hard for a country to function well when large subsets of the population are opposed to one another politically and economically. It calls into question the ‘nation’ part in nation state.
