  1. Helena Pawl Canadians are too divided and squeamish for that to pick up steam and be effective. The movement also would not enjoy the swooning of the media such as that which the US ‘protesters’ enjoy. Hence movements like WEXIT. Some have realized that, given the geopolitical divide and the distribution of the population, certain things just can’t be accomplished within confederation anymore. We are no longer a cohesive nation, and resemble instead a couple destined for divorce yet bound by denial and fear of the unknown.
