@Dam-a-fence Supply and demand is a pretty tried and tested old piece of theory, and it tends to hold up… Housing simply cannot respond to the increase in demand. We can’t even build homes right now at a price that most would call ‘affordable’, and some massive gov initiative will only make build costs increase. High rates also mean supply can’t respond. There is no supply side solution here…

@drscopeify How does increasing the demand for food and fuel lower the price of food and fuel? I suppose bringing in more ppl will lower the price of housing, as it means we have cheaper labour to build with? Same premise…
