  1. Many of the ‘new Canadians’ are just temporary Canadians looking to cash in on the exchange rate. The Filipinos I work w will retire better than most any of their Canadian coworkers. They can buy a house back home for $30K. That isn’t even half a down payment on the average detached home in Calgary.
