@derekwoodford9955 Couldn’t it be though? Right now the poaching is being done by other provinces or the US. Those are big moves that require ppl really leaving their comfort zones. I wonder if it could be much worse when the ‘poachers’ are only asking you to move to a different floor of the same building.

@derekwoodford9955 You said yourself that the poaching is already happening. With this in mind, why would we not expect it to get worse, assuming better pay is offered by the private side without the need to move far?

@derekwoodford9955 They can jump the line, but they can’t duck the taxes, so I don’t see how the public line being truncated whilst revenues are not could be a bad thing. I think the main worry is that the private system would poach all of the talent from the public side of things. Seems to me we just need to do a better job of training more nurses and doctors, and keeping them in country.
