Pay isn’t supposed to be based on the nature if the job. Pay is supposed to be based on supply and demand. The nature of the job can influence ppl’s decision to enter the field but, if it is anything like the situation in my Canadian province, a lot of accident and emergency roles have ppl lining up hoping for a chance at the job. Why should they avoid the same market forces those in the private sector have to fight with?
