  1. You aren’t a hero for going to work in a job for which working with the sick and ailing was an existing reality. Everybody pretends that those who lost their incomes sacrifices nothing, and that those who got to keep their incomes are somehow heroic. They didn’t do it to save ppl. They didn’t do it selflessly. They did it for a wage, a wage which many Canadians were actually forced to sacrifice in order, supposedly, to save others. This is perverse manipulation and exploitation of the crisis for political points.
