If AB is such a thorn in the side of the country, why not push for them to leave? Everybody complains about AB, but then they get all uppity at the idea of separation. Why is that?

Ppl complaining about sending AB’s money back to them is just comical. The country pilfers AB, and you cry when they get a bit back and don’t spend it how you think they should. 😢 harder.

@TT-fq7pl Well, you shouldn’t want a divorce but, sometimes, it is the best course. Maps change. Oh well. More and more are coming here from other provinces because they don’t like those provinces. They come here because AB offers them something the other province(s) did not. Who says many of those ppl wouldn’t want to separate as well?

@TT-fq7pl And I would also prefer foreign outfits weren’t cashing in on our natural resources. Go talk to separatist types. I’d put money on most of them agreeing. Bending over for big international capital is hardly unique to AB.

@TT-fq7pl Leave then, if you don’t consider it desirable. Unlike leaving a country, there is little to nothing stopping you from switching provinces. Instead of just complaining about how terrible it is, why not go to a “desirable” province? I sure would. The loads of ppl coming here from BC to start at my work are more than happy to admit that they left more than just the expensive housing. And the immigrants aren’t fleeing climate change… Get a grip already.

You sound like so many AB critics who just want to moan and complain but won’t do what needs to be done. It is like the abusive spouse who just verbally abuses and accosts their significant other, but then can’t fathom the notion of that person trying/wanting to leave. If ppl aren’t getting along, they go their own ways. Why would/should it be different for populations? There is a reason self determination is considered a right (for w/e the word of the UN is worth). Call it idiocy if you want. The insults always start when one person can’t form an argument. History is chock full of examples of countries/ppls splitting. Get over it.

@TT-fq7pl It is beautiful. Very. I even say this to them, and ask them why they want to leave. I love visiting BC and i envy its residents in some ways. Turns out they hated the culture and politics as well as the economy. Now you’re resorting to elitist appeals to one’s education level? Classic. Yea, you really should move to BC. You’d fit in perfectly. I have spent enough time in both school and trades settings to know that educational attainment is hardly correlated w intelligence, let alone competence. Just leave AB already. Stop making excuses.

@TT-fq7pl You seem to think you’re highly educated, so would I be far off in assuming you have a bachelor’s degree or higher? This means you almost certainly paid a tidy sum to basically have somebody read to you, all so that you could have a piece of paper that told everybody that you paid a lot of money to have somebody read to you, and you think this correlates with intelligence or competence? That is what you believe separates you from the “yokels and rubes”? Dunning, meet Kruger. Don’t feel too bad. I too made that same mistake. Remember that stuff you said about gullible ppl trying to justify or validate their egos or w/e? Yea… You might want to think on all of that a bit. Meditate on it, like the higher being you clearly are.
