  2. Hoang Vo He pulls them half out (doesn’t show them and only really draws the strap) and then shoved them back in his pocket and then tries to brush past the cop. He doesn’t even stop and acts like he’s above having to show ID, as if the cop should just know who he is. It’s not like he stopped, said hello, reached in his pocket to get his credentials, and was suddenly shoved by the cop.

  5. Cop tells guy to stop. Guy ignores cop and tries to go through anyway. Cop shoved guy back and tells him he’s not allowed through. Guy tries again and gets shoved again. I don’t see the issue here. Maybe buddy should have actually acknowledged the cop and provided his credentials? This is exactly what everybody on the court would expect if it were just some unruly fan trying to saunter onto the court.

  6. ProudtobeaCanuck Yea. Cuz he wouldn’t stop and provide his credentials. He more or less ignored the cop while pulling the strap of his id lanyard out and putting it back in his pocket. If you go to the bar do you just push past the door guy while pulling half your id out and then putting it back in your pocket? You’d get pushed back there too, and it would be considered acceptable. Is it different now cuz it’s a rich black guy being shoved?

Maybe the journalists had their credentials around their necks the way they are meant to be worn? Who knows? Point is, when he asked the other people to stop, they stopped and listened, followed the directions he gave (cuz it’s his job) and nothing bad came of it.

Probably just trying to score a quick buck off a rich and powerful person. Not in disagreement there. How am I supposed to tell from the video that there was another guard that had to be passed? How did all those other ppl get by then (as shown later when others approached him with the common sense to stop and listen). Assuming it’s true though, see how much more productive simply explaining details like that is compared to calling ppl ‘bootlicker’ and the like (see other convos). As for ‘charging’ him, I didn’t say he did, but u gotta be pretty stupid to walk right back up to a cop after he pushes you and tells you to get back. Get back can also be interpreted to mean don’t immediately approach me again afterward.

When I watched it again I assumed you were referring to the 4-6 sec mark when they came out part way and I neglected to look down at the timer. My bad on that one.

Could have been confused for a pinch with other dude getting in the way trying to break it up (saying plz plz plz). If you had shoved a cop like that you’d be the one charged and nobody would care. Let that sink in. Raptors guy isn’t a victim here. He ignored a cop and then attacked the cop.

No gun came out. No punching or baton. It was just two shoves. One for each time the guy ignored the officer and tried to go by/got too close.
