  2. J W Taking care of your own kids is a punishment now? Did the man use his patriarchy card to make her stay home while he worked? Is she supposed to be paid for taking care of her own kids? They mention the ‘unpaid labor’ of women at home in the speech, so who is supposed to pay them? If you have kids, they’re your problem. If the thought of being there to take care of and teach them is so awful, then perhaps pumping out those tiresome and expensive bundles of joy wasn’t a good idea. Women aren’t being oppressed when they stay home to take care of THEIR kids. Whichever parent stays home is between the parents. They aren’t being victimized by the decision to have a family, and if they feel they are, well, your body your choice, your choice your responsibility.
