@DjWellDressedMan And they typically commit crime to finance their addiction… You can’t even chain a bike up in my city anymore, or park your vehicle, w/o worrying. The ones causing the problems are criminals. Get over it.

@DjWellDressedMan Nope. Canadian here. Jail them. They have access to help here, but they choose the lifestyle, and everybody else pays. If people keep re-offending, then the only option is to separate them from everybody else before their antics amount to something more than petty theft and/or harassment.

@DjWellDressedMan Sure. They’re still criminals. Until one can be fairly certain they won’t re-offend, they stay in prison. Let them out, and they victimize their peers to finance their problem. You can see that link?

@someguy7819 We are talking junkies with a serious habit to finance. They can be the nicest person in the world. Doesn’t matter. If you’re just gonna get out and steal more bikes, or break into more cars, or however they victimize the rest to fees their problem, then they stay incarcerated.

@someguy7819 Stats. Lol. Get real. I’ve worked w stats more than the vast majority of ppl and, as a result, I’ve come to not much care about ppl and their cherrypicked stats. Tell me this. Why should a repeat offender of any sort, addict or otherwise, not be held until there is reasonable certainty that they won’t re-offend?
