  3. mcfoolskully Everybody focuses on the cultural/racial aspect of the immigration and population debate. My argument has always been that more people = more complexity and ‘usage’ = more laws. I wonder how long it will be before I can’t camp on crown land, for example. More people drinking beer at the beach means (on average) more garbage left behind means it becomes an issue means rules/laws. It’s one of the big problems on the economic right. They trust in markets for everything and tend to ignore that much of what we need from markets right now can’t be delivered by markets right now. There is a lag. Nobody is building a land factory anytime soon, we aren’t terraforming Mars or going to space anytime soon, so how the right believes the market will find away to neutralize the inevitable crunch on freedoms that accompanies this push for human proliferation is beyond me.
