@Hyperpandas I obviously don’t care what the ‘system’ says. You know as well as I do that anybody claiming to have a mandate from a constituency should at the bare minimum have a technical majority, if not a sizeable majority. The ‘system’ doesn’t always make sense, which is why JT promised to change aspects of it to get in initially. He then completely abandoned that promise out of political convenience. What about his ‘mandate’ to actually deliver on the things Canadians voted for?

@Hyperpandas I should do some math? There could be 100 parties and one party could still get a majority. A party could get 100% of the vote, in theory at least. And you say I’m the one who needs to read a book? With only a handful on mainstream parties a majority isn’t that far fetched at all. As the number of parties increases obviously the likelihood decreases, but the more parties you have the more likely it is that a country is politically/culturally fragmented, and the harder it becomes to call it a nation in the first place. Hence why some think Canada needs to be split up. That way you don’t have some guy, the near equivalent of a continent anyway from some, declaring that his piddly minority speaks for Canadians generally.
