@gunkwretch3697 And privately run or not, how did they not anticipate that COVID would f on the elderly (like every flu!!), and get in front of it? If they can keep us from seeing our families at Christmas and torch our livelihoods and futures, I’m pretty sure they could have inserted themselves in the LTC situation a little more. Now we will all act shocked and horrified again when slashed shelter capacity meets a tsunami of homelessness this winter and the frozen bodies pile up.
