  1. At first I thought he was hiding in his cottage because he wanted to 'lead by example' by not leading at all. Lately I wonder if it isn't at the behest of his security team that he remains isolated and secured away, only rearing his head to issue meaningless platitudes and to make announcements about how much more money he is going to spend on those who tend to vote for him.

  2. HaoXiang Mei Stop accusing ppl of being selfish because they don’t agree with you about the costs of lockdown relative to those without. This isn’t the black and white issue you are pretending it is. Are you still working? If so, walk the walk, quit your job, and open up the post for somebody who will work without moralizing to others about their ‘lockdown’ woes. If not, then good luck to you when this is said and done, because when the CERB runs out we’ll see how everybody feels about the government’s decision to bait and switch their livelihoods into oblivion.

  3.  @hmei1906  That is the job they signed up for, and they are well compensated. Many people risk life in limb, covid or no covid, invisibly and without fanfare in fields like construction, manufacturing, transport, natural resources etc. Where is the hero worship for those masses for whom danger is just a daily part of the job? They aren't special. If they don't like it then they can quit and leave behind the big salary, early retirement, pension, and all of the benefits. Half of them are diversity hires nowadays anyway, and there's a lineup of qualified applicants who would be happy to assume the role.

They play to win and they look out for their own, but they are not a Nation in any position to moralize to others about altruism and selflessness.

You responded with “You questioned my post with none, so what’s the difference” Given that proof is the subject I’m left to assume that by ‘none’ you meant no proof. I responded by asking why my question needs proof, which we agree is silly. It seems we have a simple misunderstanding somewhere.
