Look into developing a piece of empty land in Canada now. It is the domain of the wealthy, to a large extent. This ‘your ancestors were immigrants’ line could be trotted out almost anywhere, yet serious countries don’t care, because they look out for their own now, as opposed to prioritizing lofty and impractical ideals.

@leojansch7862 The gov they elected w a majority if seats in the legislature is the reason they have no clean drinking water and rockets falling on their heads. Would we scramble to help Russians and their families if Ukraine suddenly turned the tide and started pummelling Russia? I doubt it. The same ppl cheering on the Gazans would cheer on the demise of everyday Russians.

Their elected government did something terrible, started a war, and now countries w massive housing shortages have to take on all of their displaced ppl? Their neighbouring countries don’t want them, but your government will tell you that more competition for everything you need in life is good for you and will save your economy from itself.
