@dragonbotsw Yea, sure, everybody ‘should’ get such things. Lots of jobs are awful and destructive. What makes public sector workers so much more deserving that those w far less already should sacrifice even more to them in the pursuit of their ideal work life? Last I checked, they are there for our health, and not the other way around. What ppl are paid isn’t based on what they ‘deserve’, in the conventional sense. You tell me we need to pay them more because we can’t compete w other provinces (or countries) and we are losing too many staff, then I’ll entertain the idea, but don’t try to convince me that they should be protected from market forces by a private sector workforce that has to fight for every scrap and which, on average, makes far less.
